Review: ‘The QVB Tea Room’

"The Tea Room" Level 3, North End of the QVB, 455 George Street - only a short walk from Town Hall station.

Enjoy the experience of taking high tea in a beautiful Heritage setting within the once original Grand Ballroom of Sydney’s infamous Queen Victoria Building.

The Tea Room” is the definition of stylish dining…

With top quality service in an incredibly pleasant atmosphere, this gorgeous place has the ability to make you feel like royalty. Among the crust-cut cucumber sandwiches and the special Tea Room blended teas, (try their Chai), just the look of the three-tiered platter sends the mind into anticipating raptures. Indulgence is a wonderful thing… - "The Tea Room". Head chef Keith Murray must be commended on his second to none menu and obvious passion for making such incredibly delectable food. With the benefit of having a gluten-free traditional morning and afternoon tea there’s no wonder “The Tea Room” has such a great reputation. Despite its obvious popularity, I was fortunate enough to be seated in one of their comfy rouge-suade dining chairs without a booking, (although I would recommend one for four or more patrons).

It is a bit of an expense but it’s definitely worth it. After all, you’re paying for the quality dishes and the dining experience. It’s a great place to take your Mum for her birthday or even to hold your wedding reception.

Whatever the occasion, “The Tea Room” is well worth a visit.
